Try This Healthy Ginger Barfi Recipe

Since the winters are here, cold and cough are common problems that are faced by many people. If you have a grandmom in your house, you would know that ginger is the best home remedy for cold and cough.

Ginger is also used in various Ayurvedic medicines. It helps in digestion, curbing nausea, flu, and the common cold. Additionally, clove and cinnamon also make this ginger barfi an effective homemade remedy for all of winter's health problems.

It gives a nice taste to mouth and also keeps you warm in winters. So, without wasting any more time, let's learn how to make it at home.

What you need as ingredients-

Ginger 50 gram.

Sugar 100 gram.

Full-fat milk 50 ml.

clove powder 1/2 tsp.

Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp.

Ginger powder 1 tsp.

Milk powder 2 tsp.

How to make it -

  1. Wash and peel the ginger. Then grind it into a paste.
  2. Grease a tray with little ghee.
  3. Now put any nonstick pan on gas and keep the heat on medium, add the milk first. Let it boil, soon add sugar and stir it well.
  4. After that, add all ingredients one by one and continuously stir it so that it cannot get burn. When the mixture looks like thick and leaving the bottom of the pan, then off-gas. Still do not stop stirring it, even if gas off for 2 min. Then, pour the mixture out to the tray which is already greased with ghee.
  5. Spread the mixture equally throughout the tray. Allow to cool for a while and soon cut it pieces. Collect all pieces and put in an airtight jar. Your sweet and little spicy ginger barfi is ready at home. Refer the picture.
